A light breeze, idyllic dunes, seagulls singing, the smell of salt and, of course, the ocean – that is pretty close to my picture perfect summer holidays. Since being packed like sardines in a tin on an Italian beach in midsummer did not match these criteria for recreative holidays, we decided to spend our holidays in a small village on the North Sea. I love the casual but sophisticated maritime-inspired style. Take a few blue and white striped basics, add some red highlights and choose a few maritime accessories. Ready for a picknick in the dunes, a sailing trip or an aperitif on the beach (I prefer a glass of rosé)!
